I currently work for the Cleft Lip and Palate Association and am responsible for engaging and inspiring members of the UK cleft community through their communications channels.

 

• Designing graphics and content for social, digital, and print communications

• Writing copy for newsletters, the website, and print materials.

• Managing all social media channels, including Facebook groups with over 11,000 members

• Designing email marketing newsletters and editing content for the CLAPA website

 

I have experience working with team members from all departments within the charity and external Stakeholders, including a recent campaign with Carol Vorderman.

I specialise in helping start-ups/small businesses grow their digital presence and brand identity. Working remotely with my clients, I provide digital audits and competitor analysis before building a personal strategy for them.

 

• Communicating with clients to discuss their marketing needs and producing project briefs

• Designing brand guidelines and creating assets to be used on web, print and social media

• Building websites using CMS platforms and adhering to SEO best practice

Some of my current work has included a Cornish literature festival, a London voice over agency, a Birmingham based artist, Psychotherapists, a yoga instructor and an electric car charging provider.

Working in the accommodation department, I managed all social, digital and print marketing material/campaigns.

 

• Designing/ writing content and uploading it to the CMS platform

• Managing social media channels and creating content

• Working with external teams on print publications, photoshoots and partnership projects

• Project management, team leadership, administration and customer service

• Training over 100 students in social media best practice

• Project managing the Residence Life students’ events programme and housing booking platform

 

Achievements in this role included - 96% of students living in halls joined the Facebook groups that I created from scratch. In addition to this, I sold 100% of tickets for events in the first week of the new Residence Life programme.

 

 

DIGITAL MARKETER

NUMO GROUP: JUL 2012 – NOV 2014

When working for the digital marketing agency I managed social media and digital marketing accounts for over 10 clients. Their industries covered a wide spectrum, ranging from national e-commerce companies to smaller local businesses, including Gordon Ramsay, Tripp Luggage and Healthy Pets Insurance.

• Worked on new and existing marketing campaigns including strategy and content production

• Liaising with clients on their marketing briefs, managing their budgets, producing performance reports and providing effective administration of their accounts

• Creating and publishing web and social media content

• Managing low budget PPC campaigns and reviewing digital performance on Google Analytics

 

My other duties included working on location providing live social media, photography, PA duties and collaborating with external companies on joint marketing projects.

WORK EXPERIENCE

MAVERICK TELEVISION: SEP 07 – MAY 08

This degree project included research, development and new media design for digital online content. My Final piece included designing a prototype website, producing supporting designs and a research portfolio. This was awarded a first from the university and was presented/pitched to BBC Three.

OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE

​

Other positions that I have held over my working career have included retail, photography, hospitality and tourism. Here I have gained valuable insight into different industries and developed skills in customer service.
